54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment Company B

The 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment Company B is an organization of volunteers, composed of both professional and amateur historians, dedicated to preserving the history of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment and Black Soldiers in the Civil War. Company B was formed in 1988 as a U.S. National Park Service “Volunteers in Parks” unit. They have since become one of the best drilled and most authentic Civil War reenactment groups in the country.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry to create a comprehensive website that tells the story of their regiment from their inception during the Civil War, their invaluable contribution to the making of the movie Glory, to their present day ongoing campaign to keep their history alive for future generations.
